Ari: Aunt Ruby's husband. A bedrock of calm and good sense.
Ari: The head of investment on the kibbutz.
Auntie Em: Husbinator's mother's sister. Lives in Yerushalayim.
Aunt Chef: My aunt. She makes all sorts of delicacies, and if she hasn't made it, she's seen a cooking show all about it.
Aunt L80: Ema's sister. My aunt. You know how it works.
Aunt Ruby: My friend's aunt. Lives pretty close to the kibbutz I'm on.
Aunt West: Grandma's sister. She kept us out of the panic zone when we were running late to my wedding.
Barzilai Family: Israeli family who lives on the Yishuv. Binyamin generally gives a class during kiddush after shul. Very nice people, two little kids. We introduced them to barbecue sauce and apple pie (not together).
B2: My oldest younger brother. Everyone harass him to make aliyah, please.
Baby Spiderman: My son. (Cf. Baby Spidey, BSM, El Babo, Señor Pee-Pee, The Babe-o, Urinator). Please note that this glossary was written when Baby Spiderman was my only son, and I'm not going back to update his entries.
Baby Spidey:  My son. (Cf. Baby Spiderman,  BSM, El Babo, Señor Pee-Pee, The Babe-o, Urinator)
Baby Yoda: Son #3. Born around the same time The Mandalorian came out, and looked just like his namesake.
Brett: Head of sales for one of the departments of the kibbutz. He used to be head of the ulpan, and as a native English speaker, he's roped in to helping Anglo participants in Bayit Rishon B'Moledet (the program we're on).
BSM: My son. (Cf. Baby Spiderman, Baby Spidey, El Babo, Señor Pee-Pee, The Babe-o, Urinator)
BY: Son #3. See Baby Yoda.
The Caped Avenger: My youngest brother. Because every blog needs mysterious people with capes, and this agreeable young man kindly acquiesced when I asked him if he'd take up that role on my blog.
Cymbaline: My internet friend. I read her blog, and we ended up gchatting. At least we used to before I had a baby and she got married and a new job, and we got too busy to be friends anymore. She planted the bug in my head to start a blog ages ago.
Devorah: The nurse at the kibbutz's health clinic who specializes in children.
Daphna: One of BSM's daycare providers on kibbutz.
Decaying Tonsils: B2's wife. So named because the last contact I had with her before mentioning her in my blog was a photo of her mono-ified throat. (cf. R2)
Dikla: BSM's daycare provider on the Yishuv.
Eitan: The kibbutz's head electrician for the past 50 years. Really cheerful, and quite clever.
Elaine: Abba's sister.
El Babo: My son. (Cf. Baby Spiderman, Baby Spidey, BSM, Señor Pee-Pee, The Babe-o, Urinator)
Ema: My mother. I actually call her "Ema," so this is hardly an anonymous handle. Play nicely, children.
Ema2: My mother-in-law. I try not to make people jealous by telling them how awesome my in-laws are, but it's not always easy.
FF: My second son. Stands for "Falafel Face." Whatever: he's born in Israel, we get to give him a corny (or chickpea-y) nickname.
Gold Family: The family on the Yishuv who was really instrumental to our moving here. Husbinator has known Mr. and Mrs. Gold longer than they have known each other, and it turns out Mrs. Gold's younger brother was in Mooshub's class. Small world.
Gordon Family: A couple about our age, with a son almost a year younger than BSM. They made aliyah a few months after we did and moved to the Yishuv about two weeks after we did.
Grandma: Ema's mother. I'm really on a roll here with naming people on my blog what I call them in real life.
Husbinator: Guess. What? Did you think I was going to give you all of the answers?
John: Our next-door neighbor on kibbutz, in the same program that we were in. Went to Yeshiva with Husbinator.
Keturah: A retired Ulpan teacher who lives on the kibbutz. She tutored me in Hebrew.
Kornbluth Family: They live on the Yishuv, across the street from us. Israeli, but their English seems to be about as good as my Hebrew.
Leah: Another one of BSM's kibbutz daycare providers.
Leah Schwartz: Aunt Ruby's neice; the sister of my best friend growing up.
Malka: Me. Ta-dum!
Mooshub: My older brother. He used to call me Mooshub just to hear me scream. Now, I think it's cute.
Ninja: My second cousin's husband. He writes thought-provoking articles.
Ninjah: My second cousin who lives in Northern Israel. A pretty cool bean.
Nosie-Boy:  The baby next door on the kibbutz. 3 days younger than BSM.
Orna Family: A family on the Yishuv. Mrs. Orna spent some time in my home town, though I was only 3 years old when she and her parents moved out. Still, our parents know each other!
Ozzie: The male half of our kibbutz adoptive family. Of Australian extraction.
Paz: The non-member of the kibbutz who is actually in charge of the kibbutz's electrical department.
PianoToes: My middlest younger brother. He can play a small electric keyboard with his toes.
R2: formerly known as Decaying Tonsils. B2's wife. (Guess why I picked R2 for her nickname!)
Ram: Lives two doors down from us and gives a women's shiur on Shabbos. Husbinator and I had a running debate over how many kids he has, with Husbinator maintaining, "about a million," and myself insisting I've never seen more than 4 or 5 of his kids. That debate was settled the day I saw Ram's 9-year-old son walking by... only there were 5 of him. Sneaky Ram, having carbon-copy children.
Rinat: Yet another one of BSM's kibbutz ladies. They maintain a minimum of a 1:4 ratio for his group of 12 kids.
Roz: The female half of our kibbutz adoptive family. Born and raised on the kibbutz.
Señor Pee-Pee: My son. (Cf. Baby Spiderman, Baby Spidey, BSM, El Babo, The Babe-o, Urinator)
Shira: A woman who lives across the street from us on the Yishuv. Always giving us stuff, making sure we're okay, telling me I should come by for coffee.
Shoshi: Our next-door neighbor on the kibbutz. Amazing for commiserating with and offering the wisdom gleaned from arriving four months before us. There is a plethora of wisdom from those four months.
Sister: My (older) sister. One of the people who picked their own nickname. Speaking of people who are bedrocks of calm and good sense, I'd like to mention Sister.
Tamara: Head of the absorption committee on the kibbutz. Incredibly kind and helpful.
The Babe-o: My son. (Cf. Baby Spiderman, Baby Spidey, BSM, El Babo, Señor Pee-Pee, Urinator)
Uncle: Again, not exactly anonymous, as this is what I generally call Ema's brother.
Uncle En: Auntie Em's husband. Weirdly enough, he works at the school where I went for two years after high school. I knew of him at the time, but only met him through Husbinator.
Uncle Man: Aunt L80's husband. Oops, I forgot that his Code Name was Uncle Red.
Uncle Red: Aunt L80's husband.
Urinator: My son. (Cf. Baby Spiderman, Baby Spidey, BSM, El Babo, Señor Pee-Pee, The Babe-o)
Zoltan Family: Family friends from my childhood who now live near Jerusalem. I love them.
